Christy Melvin

Christy has ties to Kempville, being a Kemptville College Alumni graduate from the Horticulture program in 2015. Her journey led her to work in several local Municipal Community Services Departments, where she realized her real passion is helping young people. More recently, Christy completed her diploma in Recreational and Leisure Studies.

She has had the privilege to mentor and advocate for many youths throughout the years. Christy is determined to make a lasting positive impact on every young person the moment they open the door to the Kemptville Youth Center. Christy is committed to making youth and staff feel valued, welcomed, safe, empowered, and ready to reach their full potential.

During her leisure time Christy can be found walking her two dogs, gardening, fishing, kayaking, snowshoeing in the winter, crafting, baking, reading an enjoyable book, playing volleyball, or volunteering her time in the community.

Ashley is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive space where youth feel cared for, heard, and empowered. She looks forward to building strong connections with youth and their families through her work at the Kemptville Youth Centre.

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys cooking and baking, doing crafts, playing video games, and spending time with her animals. She looks forward to bringing these interests into the youth centre to create fun, engaging, and meaningful experiences for the youth.
